Clusters without borders – surveying the clustering opportunities of SMEs in the Hungarian-Romanian cross border region (ClusDevSME)

The project aims at creating a model of cross-border cluster development based on an intensive research- and database -building activity. Specific objectives: Familiarizing with the obstacles of the cooperation of SMEs and arousing their interest to cooperate and to form clusters. The direct target group of the project comprises of small and medium enterprises operating in the Hungarian-Romanian cross-border region. The evaluation of their cooperation and innovation capabilities and willingness stands in the center of our surveys and analyses.Results: 5 foundation studies, 1 database, 800 completed questionnaires and 1 study related to the primary survey, 40 depth interview data sheets, 2 workshops, 2 conferences, 1 benchmarking of regional cluster development experience, 1 cross-border regional cluster development model, 3000 bilingual leaflet, 1 bilingual home page, 500 pieces of CD-books, 6 advertisements.
