This project entitled: «Cloud computing» concerns the education of students in the specialty of Information and Economy - Administration. It involves 25 students and 2 escort teachers who will go to Portugal for 14 days from 10/01/2015 until 23/01/2015, upon request of the sending institution (3rd EPAL Athens) with the host institution (ΑΙΑΜ). The planned duration of staying abroad is considered satisfactory to cover the educational needs of the participants to gain the necessary knowledge in Cloud computing, and to strengthen intercultural character and proficiency of the participants of the program. The program will cover both theoretical training and practical training in workshops and business as well as cultural visits. The result for the trainees will be to gain significant knowledge and experience for a contemporary matter that concerns the training and development on technologies about cloud computing. Just because cloud computing is based on the fact that the service is running somewhere else and there is no need of processing power from a terminal it is ideal to perform high-level applications on mobile devices (such as smartphones, tablets, netbooks). The training program was designed according to the characteristics and needs of the participants so that in combination with the received practical skills and attitudes required by their specialty they will become competitive and able to pursue and achieve their integration into the labor market. In the proposed project we expect to achieve multiplier effects and benefits, both for participants and for the external actors involved. This gives added value to the proposal, contributing to: * Developing the European dimension in vocational training and guidance, * Disseminating of importance of mobility and transfer of European culture in the sending country * Certification of knowledge and recognition with the Europass mobility, * Awareness of the importance of foreign language knowledge, * Creating a network for the development of partnerships between training institutions and enterprises. Participation in such mobility plan contributes so the beneficiaries will gain valuable experience and important skills in order to enhance their knowledge, to work in an environment with different technologies and know-how, to practice and perfect a foreign language and to experience a different culture. The training needs of students covered by this plan and are directly related and relevant to the needs of the labor market, focus on the following: * Basic knowledge of cloud and distributed computing, * Applications of parallel processing, * Split-level cloud computing services * Lease computing resources * Using cloud software. After the educational needs are met, students will be able to be able to suggest information systems, as well as to perform all actions necessary to implement them. Thus they will have more supplies to be able to cope with the demanding environment of the labor market. With the approval of the proposed project, our organization intends to organize a series of activities that will involve the preparation phase (publicity, collection requests to participate, a structured interview, etc.), the implementation phase (going abroad, theoretical training, internships businesses) and the phase after the end of training (assessment, dissemination of results, administrative documents to the National Unit of the Erasmus +). After the end of the main implementation activities of the mobility, for the proposed project, the expected impact for the participants will be to gain knowledge and skills for the training subject, for the partners, they are given the opportunity of networking and further exchange of experiences in similar institutions and groups - aimed at creating incentives identified in the wider local community to participate in lifelong learning activities. The proposed mobility program will generate significant long-term benefits both at the individual level and in the general developmental level.
