CLIL - verschränkten Sprachen- und Fachunterricht verstärken
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

At the Hertha Firnberg Schools of Business and Tourism, multilingualism is important for students as well as the teachers. As our students achieve a high level in language skills, it is important for our teachers to continuously upgrade and improve their own skills. As the USP or our school is CLIL, it is important for our teachers to be both trained in this area and that they are informed more on this still relatively new concept in teaching. The aim of this project is to allow our teachers, from various disciplines, economics, informatics, languages, culture and tourism to broaden their knowledge, improve their professional, linguistic, intercultural and methodological skills. We hope to initiate contact with other such schools and ideally, later network in order to share ideas and perhaps even participate in projects together. Finally it is our goal to provide our teachers the opportunity to not only further and expand their own knowledge of CLIL but to also later share the knowledge with their colleagues in the context of internal training in our school and by implementation in our school.
