CLIL and bilingual education, from home to Europe.
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Our school, Don Bosco, is a bilingual semi-private centre for children aged between 3 and 16 years old. It is a centre founded and run by a cooperative of teachers. The main objective of the programme we are proposing is to continue improving our school’s commitment to the acquisition of languages. Our team consists of six bilingual and English teachers greatly concerned with keeping up to date with current methodologies, and the improvement of teaching practices and assessment. Via our proposed programme, we wish to attend to the needs of all of those involved in our school community, beginning with the most immediate needs. Within this project our main goals are: - To implement training in new methodologies of language teaching, with the aim of improving our techniques in the area of cooperative learning within the classroom, and in its evaluation. - To strengthen our relationship with other European countries in order to promote students’ awareness and sense of community within Europe. Our intention is to expose our students to new social and cultural contexts and to share, via new technologies, the knowledge gained with the entire school community at both a national and European level.
