Clean Air Management in the Romania-Ukraine Transboundary Area (CLAMROUA) (HUSKROUA/1101/127)

The project aims to deepen and intensify the cooperation in environmental protection issues between Ivano-Frankivsk region in Ukraine and Maramures County in Romania for sustainable development of the cross-border region. It will create an integrated pilot network in Romania-Ukraine transboundary area for air quality monitoring in order to enhance air quality and to support sustainable development in the cross-border region; develop the cross-border cooperation in air quality management, monitoring and public information; establish the Air Quality Maintenance Plan for Maramures County according to the national law regarding the ambient air quality that transposes the Directive 2008/50/EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 21 May 2008 on ambient air quality and cleaner air for Europe Expected Results: Estimated results: The air monitoring pilot network equipped with modern devices according to the specific local conditions and needs to fulfil the European/national requirements for air monitoring in Romania-Ukraine transboundary area (Maramures County, Romania and Ivano-Frankivsk region, Ukraine); Project website for public information on air quality (in Romanian and Ukrainian languages); Database on air quality in Romania-Ukraine transboundary area; Conferences on air quality management in Romania and Ukraine; Project information package (leaflets, display panels, conference bags, pens) in Romanian and Ukrainian languages; Report on Air Quality in Romania-Ukraine Transboundary Area (in Romanian and Ukrainian languages); Action Plan for Good Air Quality Maintenance in Maramures County.
