The aim of the project titled "CKZiU - modern, innovative and the European school" is the staff improvement of the language competence and acquiring new tools and methods of teaching, the acquisition of new skills in the use of modern ICT, the TEL course, as well as skills development of the international project management. Another crucial aspect of our project is ‘the lifelong learning idea’ promoting among our students and their parents, particularly in our region, which is endangered of unemployment and depopulation and the teaching foreign languages quality improvement; getting teachers ready to imply the content language integrated learning at school, which, in this way will widen the school offer. Five teachers were chosen to participate in this project, they will take part in the general lg – English and German courses, on methodology and the use of new technology – TEL – Technology Enhanced Learning. The participants represent different subjects, like: Mathematics, Information Technology, Religion, Civics, Law, Geography, English, German, and a school counsellor. The wide variety of subjects presented may be fruitful for the next international eTwinning projects.Foreign language teachers will take part in methodology and the use of new technology courses, to gain theoretical and practical education in dealing with language learning in groups of teenagers with mixed ability classes and with so called difficult learners. The teachers broaden their workshop as well as their language skills and learn on more creative and more confident presenting of material taught, adapting their teaching style to the changing education situation within the class i.e. communication problems, behavioral problems, students with specific educational needs.Teachers’ group work leads to more open and creative attitude to teaching. Discussions, talks and practice build the bond within the group and allow to acquire new knowledge and skills in a better way. Establishing new contacts with people from another countries and extending them to students will facilitate the future project actions and the development of our school – long-lasting effect. The courses our teachers are going to take part in, will have long-lasting effects on themselves mainly, but also on students, their parents, other school workers and the local area, these are our target groups, whom we want to present the project’s results and share the knowledge with. We are also going to organize lessons for other teachers at our school to present what we’ve learnt, a conference to promote the Erasmus + programme. Apart from that, our school internet website, school’s Facebook, eTwinning groups, the local press, television as well as presentations and exhibiotions will be used as our tools to share and promote our experience. Our project implementation will upgrade the rank and the prestige of our school in the local area, so it might be perceived as modern, innovative and European, where teaching is effective and fun for both sides.School is the only place, where students study English or German, their language level is mixed, so crucial for teachers is the need of searching for new ways of presenting material, new ideas, solutions for their every-day work. The teachers participance in the courses will influence their students, school, because well educated school leavers are the best supporters of all projects that have been carried out at school. Moreover, students are well prepared to undertake job in Poland or abroad, so their birthplace doesn't foredoom their adult life, they become an equal European citizens.
