Certificated Job Skills
Start date: Feb 1, 2015, End date: Jan 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Current trend of youth unemployment, which moves from statistics to statistics upwards , is a trend that we pursue in open youth work with great concerns. Very often this development affects youngsters who quit school , poorly educated young people (or with none at training) young people from difficult social environment and adolescents with language problems ( migration background) . We want to counter this trend and provide an opportunity with our project idea for these disadvantaged young people to (at least partially) make up for or compensate for missed orientations , and poor grades . In our project, the young people should be taught with the help of voluntary , free and short workshops , knowledge and skills. Thus , we hope to improve their prospects at the labor market and the security on the part of young people that the selected task corresponds to the inclinations and talents. In addition to bring an additional nonformellen learning effect the international character of the project is of an great value. Another hoped-for effect is an improvement in the relationship with the young people so as to strengthen the basic of youthwork. Since it is difficult in the form of the project to provide a specific number of participants , we have agreed on an estimate of 60 young people . This estimate is derived from the six planned workshops and a number of participants believed 10 per workshop Within the project guidelines for the content and quality standards of the workshops are to be developed . In order to achieve a high value of the workshops , recognized partners should be found which support the learning format and its recognized logo should be pasted on the certificates witch the youngsters receve (EU, Tyrol , Camber of Commerce , ...). These should also be involved in the development of quality standards. These guidelines should be summarized in the form of a brochure and provide a guide for the implementation of these workshops . Based on the targeted public relations, the brochure and the proposed Multiplier events , we expect that these workshops are also offered by other members of the Open youth work in the planned low-threshold form.
