The role of education in promoting more entrepreneurial attitudes and behaviors is now widely recognized in the EU, but in the CB area the theme is not enough utilized in the regions. Competencies of teachers in promoting entrepreneurship are different in CB countries. Also there are now emerging totally new platforms for the company-university interaction in promoting innovations and entrepreneurial behavior. These new platforms are needed to be applied quickly into CB universities and other high level education institutions (HEIs). CENTRAL BALTICUM ENTREPRENEURSHIP INTERACTION project will contribute for the CB regional development and competitiveness through the: - analysis of the training needs for the entrepreneurship teachers in CB different education levels when promoting entrepreneurship - analysis of the company-university latest and modern business platforms - cross-border network development between CB novely company-university platforms, HEIs and development organizations - development and piloting CB Professional Diploma Programme in Entrepreneurship pedagogy Expected results, project will: 1. Increase awareness of entrepreneurship in CB regions development. This result will be reflected in the form of the cross-border professional Diploma Programme in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy for teachers using Finnish, Estonian, Latvian, Netherland's and UK best practices.; 2. develop most advanced models for the company-university interaction platforms and link them with each other; 3. provide cross-border learning experiences and a forum to link CB HEIs and development organizations into deeper cooperation in entrepreneurship development; The project will sustain network(s) for the after the project duration and the developed training programs/modules will be taken as a part of the HEIs’ further training curricula. The project has five interlinked Work Packages: 1) Project management and coordination, 2) Analysis of educators' training needs and novel cooperation platforms, 3) Networks development between novel platforms, HEIs and SMEs 4) CB Professional Diploma Programme in Entrepreneurship Pedagogy for teachers and 5) Dissemination. The am. WP classification is to support the implementation and to ensure quality of implementation, to share the deep understanding about the entrerpeneurhsip training needs and needs of entrepreneurhsip platforms in the CB context, to develop furhter interaction between HEIs and the business community and to communicate with stakeholeders in an expressive way. The main activities of the all WPs take place at the same time in the form of analysis, cross border meetings, workshops, benchmarking and best practice exchange, pilot training, which enables cross border interaction between regions and business community. Achievements: The aim of the CB Entreint project was to improve entrepreneurship programmes at higher educational institutions through the development of innovative cross-border training for the entrepreneurship mentors. The project set out to create a more favourable business environment for current times by positively influencing the creation of new start-ups as well as the positive exploitation of business ideas and innovations. The project made a methodological contribution via knowledge creation and the transfer of the latest innovative tools in entrepreneurship education to regional development. Teachers and lecturers at all educational levels were therefore able to promote entrepreneurship more effectively and interact more intensively with new business platforms at higher educational institutions, business promotion organisations and NGOs.
