The main goals of our institution are reducing school abandonment and low attendance and stimulating the students to have a better understanding of the ethnic, cultural and religious diversity. Following a SWOT analysis and the administration of a questionnaire in order to identify the training needs of our teachers, two main training areas have been identified: interactive and motivational teaching techniques and multiculturalism and modernity. The project’s main objectives are: - involving a number of 12 teachers from our school in training activities by participating at two courses taking place abroad in 2016; -the growth with 5% in the next two school years of students’ graduation rate by stimulating them to participate in the education process itself; -reducing the school abandonment rate with 5% in the next three school years (2016-2018); -reducing the number of interethnic conflicts with 5% in the next year in our school by promoting multiculturalism; -increasing the school’s reputation in the local community by organizing three activities to promote role model students who have been successful A number of 12 teachers, who teach various subjects (Technological Education, Romanian, French, English, Geography, Biology, Religion, primary school and Math-2 teachers) will participate in the training courses. From the total number of 12, one of the teachers taking part in the training courses is a beginner, 2 have a permanent certification/full time professional degree (definitivat), six have a second degree certificate in teaching and four have a first degree. Only one of the teachers recruited has been the beneficiary of a training course abroad in the Comenius programme financed by the European Commission. The activities we have established for the well-development of the project have been scheduled depending on the stages of the project: I. The preparation stage of the project consists of selecting the mobility participants, delegating responsibilities and establishing the calendar of the main activities; II. After the approval of the project, the teachers’ professional development will consist of two training courses, as follows: 1. Five teachers will take part in the first mobility, a training course entitled “Europe between Mythology, Modernity and Multiculturalism", which will take place between the 17th and the 23rd of April 2016 at the Laboratorio del cittatidno Onlus, in Florence, Italy. 2. The rest of seven teachers will travel to Oslo, Norway between the 10th and the 16th on July 2016 to take part in the "Interactive teaching- Using educational games in order to enhance learners' motivation” training course. In the project’s writing stage we will establish the dissemination plan and the project’s evaluation plan, which will be kept to programme through the entire period of the project; The anticipated impacts on the project’s beneficiaries are as follows: -the acquisition of new interactive and motivating teaching-evaluation methods; -the use and creation of innovative training tools: e-books, multimedia products, videos; -the acquisition of innovative interdisciplinary techniques; -the improvement of linguistic skills; -the improvement of communication and team-work skills; -the development of competences in approaching multiculturalism; -the enrichment of knowledge regarding the culture of countries from other geographical areas; -professional development by obtaining the Europass mobility certificate; The anticipated impacts on the school: -the growth of the quality of the educational services provided; -a better credibility of the school by the improvement of its portfolio; - the growth of the school’s prestige among the local community members; The impacts on the project’s indirect beneficiaries: -the students in our school will benefit from more stimulating and motivating teaching- learning activities; -the students will participate in more attractive and innovative extracurricular activities; -there will be a closer connection between the school and the local community; On a long term, the school will offer its beneficiaries quality educational services, enjoying a greater prestige among the local community members. By the teachers’ use of the skills acquired in the project, there will be a lower rate of absenteeism, an increase of students’ motivation, thus better school results. Moreover, the number of students who abandon school will be lower. The institution will enjoy a better credibility in the community and beyond it.
