Who is Captain Culture?Did you know that 2008 was the year of Intercultural Dialogue? Of course you did!Do you know that 2009 is the year of Creativity and Innovation? Of course you do!So this is the perfect opportunity to join those 2 years together and bring some fresh ideas and approaches to the field of Intercultural Learning and Youth Work.An international team of trainers is preparing a training course on intercultural learning and alternative approaches towards it. We will be exploring and using different approaches and tools that youth workers could is when organizing activity related to cultural diversity issues.The methodology that is going to be used is based on alternative approaches towards intercultural learning. There will be 2 main working groups: one using an outdoor approach as a method for intercultural learning; and another using an approach to culture and cultural diversity from the perspective of daily day culture.Main aims are to learn how to deal with cultural diversity, to use cultural diversity as a tool to discover identity and to work with concrete aspects of cultural diversity and integration of it in youth work.Captain Culture - Creativity in ICL training Course is an experiential 8 days (including travelling days) course and it will be held from November 6th to December 13th 2010, in lefkosia Cyprus.Come and join us on this journey..."Captain Culture is our hero,He's going to take prejudices down to zero!"
