The Action INTEGR-ABLE promotes the application of the integrated urban development planning concept. By improving, correlating and networking the capacity needed to apply the Integrated Urban Development Plan (IUDP) in the targeted countries, two major issues are highlightened:- involving socio-spatial fabric in the desired way of development, in order to maintain and, thus, strengthen cities as social and spatial entities fighting the process of population segments and urban neighbourhoods risking isolation from local economic development;- achieving local economic growth, international and interregional economic competitiveness, as durable pillars of cities' viability, with the closely related goal of creating new employment opportunities. Achievements: 3 Romanian cities have transferred experience to 9 cities from partner countries; 9 IUD plans elaborated; a common assessment methodology elaborated and assessment conducted; platform for exchange of knowledge created; IUD Planning methodology developed, translated and disseminated
