Capacitación profesional en empresas europeas
Start date: Jul 6, 2015, End date: Jul 5, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

This project is designed for all the students of medium cycle vocational studies from Instituto Politécnico Easo. Our students fulfil the FCT module in EU companies gaining skills that are unable to be learnt at a school environment. The aims are to increase their practice-theoretical knowledge, launch initiatives, autonomy, and adaptability to a new environment and promote the learning of languages and different cultures as an integral part of their education. During the internship, students come out with new forms of work and rise new expectancies. The experience gained at work, eases their insertion in the labour market and their adaptability to face new challenges in a company. Our project asks for 8 grants for students of our vocational school and eventually, for students coming from another vocational school from habitual networks. We start spreading information about our project from the moment in which the guidelines are given by the National Agency. Students will have to fulfil the workplacement FCT module in companies or improve their technical and labour skills gained during the FCT period in their environment. Throughout this period, they will put in practice the skills and tasks apprehended during their medium cycle vocational course. The host companies will be directly related to the vocational courses studied in Easo. Tutors, vocational teachers, direction board and the European project coordination board take part in the selection process. We assure a clear and objective selection process. The selection of the host company will be meticulous and will respect the student’s profile. In this project we begin the Job Shadowing modality. After contacting with a similar vocational school, we want to collaborate in subjects related to Human Resources and Entrepreneurship. If, due to the schools outer reasons, we could not fulfil the mobilities, we would look for a third partner to collaborate in the project. The aims are to observe the Good practices from other school centres, start a long-term collaboration that drives to improve the teachings related to the labour market and promote entrepreneurship. The impacts expected are diverse, the personal one for the student, the Instituto Easo’s and the benefits for companies and society in general. First of all, students validate the FCT module and, after their mobility, they will have their medium grade vocational certificate and, at a personal level, they develop different skills, such as, autonomy and adaptability to work. Easo benefits in that there are some students that select our school in order to have a chance in participating in a Erasmus+ program, along with it, the students’ final evaluation allows teacher to adapt their theoretical teaching to the reality of the labor market, shortening the distance between school teaching and labor market. For the companies, when students start working have a better adaptability to their new tasks. An finally, for society, it is important because these students come back with new horizons, expectancies… and many of them become aware of the necessity of continue their education process, that is, they start high grade vocational courses or update their knowledge and skills.
