Campus II
Start date: Aug 1, 2015, End date: Aug 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The "Campus II" project concerns the hosting of the two European volunteers, of Spanish and Italian origin, for 10 months, within the University of Pau and Pays de l'Adour, in two of its services that are based on the campus at Pau: -one focuses on culture and creativity in the cultural Service of the Student’s House. -the other on information about Erasmus+, cultural animations on the campus and the assisting of international students in the International Relations Office. This project is also an encounter of two sectors: non-formal education and formal education, insofar as the receiving organization is a university. In this context, the "Campus II" project aims to promote the non-formal educational process of developing skills: Participation, creativity and communication are some key words for this project, to the extent where a lot of place will be left to young people to join the existing activities of the services as well as to take initiatives and to propose their own activities. Concerning the partnership and awareness of the impact, the (learning by doing) partnership aims to develop a cooperative approach of the entrepreneurial spirit of young people. Beyond the main themes, this project aims to promote Europe in a larger sense and in each partner country. It shall help to highlight Europe’s cultural diversity. Participants will contribute to the awareness of their own culture in other countries (and vice versa). This objective was born from the observation that despite the geographical proximity, Europeans know little or badly their neighbours, even the near ones, and prejudices are common. We wish therefore to foster the dialogue and exchange between citizens, no matter where they come from. Pistes-Solidaires assumes the role of coordinating association in this project and will therefore focus its attention on providing support for the receiving organization and the volunteers. By sharing the monitoring tools work method led by Pistes-Solidaires as coordinator, the project aims to develop work methods between partners from different countries to leverage them in the future (follow-up, work on the development of young people, mentorship methods...). The "Campus II" project gathers two new European partnerships in the fields of European projects and educational mobility and associates young people with fewer opportunities.
