CEIP Fontes has 47 teachers and 709 students divided into 9 Pre-school classrooms and 19 in Primary Education. Our school attends students of Torre Pacheco and its outskirts. 25% of students are immigrants and 10% have Special Educational Needs. We are interested in improving the quality of education. That?s why we are going to participate in European programs and projects, including a bilateral Comenius project with Italy. These projects are intended to increase the attention to the diversity of students and to raise the European dimension of the school. So we need: - Encourage the use of the eTwinning platform and other New Technologies. The teachers who participated were chosen by a commission, according to the criteria written in the project. They are teachers involved in previous and present European projects; they are registered in e-Twinning and they are really active in this plattform. Some of them are forming in languagues, mainly English and Italian. Furthermore, we are used Spanish and European certificates and tools in the selection process: Europass, Curriculum Vitae, European Passport of Languagues, the Official Languagues School certificates, among others. The project has three different mobility activities: * 5 English languague training: It's focus on improve the languague profiency of teachers and it aims to increase the school participation in European projects. These were done in the summer of 2014, at Delpin Language School, Dublin, on a two-week course and 50 hours of teaching. * 4 mobilities for Italian language training: these were done by teachers involved in the Comenius Project with an Italian School. It has a dual propose: learning of Italian language and maximizing the use of future mobilities by fostering and promoting the active participation of our teachers in the Italian school. The organization of training course is conducted by committee and it takes a minimum of 50 hours in two weeks. * 2 job shadowing activities. They were designed for Pre-school anda Primary teachers. The main purpose was integrated into the classroom a new methodology that allowed a direct contact with other schools in Europe, through projects such as e-Twinning or KA2 (Erasmus+). These mobilities were done during school year, with an incidence of 8 school days. Mobility was timed to coincide with the visit of our students to the Italian school, in order to maximize the experience. In the assessment process they have been requested europass mobility documents. These planned activities will culminate in a training course at the school during the next school year 2015-2016; it will allow to the other Pre-school and Primary teachers, to know innovate methods of work aimed to open our school to Europe. The organization and Monitoring Committee has been responsible for collecting data on progress, checking the successful completion of the preparatory activities, and those that were generated after mobilities. Ultimately, the Head of the school, has been commissioned to verify that the activities have been conducted as scheduled. After learning an training period is detected that the participants have been able to: - Improve the knowledge and skills to use the eTwining platform and developing European projects. - Develop English and Italian speaking and writing skills. - Have knowledge and methodological resources to start up new projects with a European dimension. About the impact, point out that with training and observation periods conducted optimally and quality, have promoted the participation in European projects, up to get at least 25% of teachers participate actively in e-Twining the end of the course 2014/2015, and they have been involved in new European projects.
