C2LL- "Communicate 2 Live & Learn"- Live in the sense of Internationalization, Learn in the sense of livelong learning and learning from others, Communicate as requirement for both Ls. Our number one goal at Handelsakademie (Business School) Steyr is to provide our students with the necessary skills and competences to compete in the modern labour market. Our claim "Where careers start" says it best. Since Austrias participation in the EU the focus of our curriculum was focused on International Business, Marketing and International Trade and Cultural Studies. On top of that we provide 5 european languages to study and implemented CLIL transversal along our teaching subjects.To make sure we can provide the knowledge to our students we need trained CLIL teachers as well as the continous exchange of experiences in the fields of pedagogy, didactics as well as in elaborating curriculums with other educational institutions and schools.Participants: Seven teachers from different subjects will undergo a language training in a foreign country which also includes CLIL didactics. Two teachers will also participate at a Job-Shadowing to gain practial experiences and share insights especially on the topics "Drop-Outs", Individualization of lessons, and curriculum development. The organisation of the travel-activities will be managed by Travelmania, a travel agency specialized in language study travels for teachers and students.Our goals, outcomes & long-term benefit:1. Improvement of our teachers foreing language skills to:a) higher the amount of CLIL lessons to fosterb) the acceptability of our students to participate in CLIL lessons in order toc) expand their vocabulary and to strenghen their foreign language skills.d) This will lead to lower the Drop-out-rate ande) give our students better chances on the labour market.2. Realization and implementation of potential pedagical developmentsa) The Job-Shadowing will provide practical insights in the state of development of other countries andb) trace the question on how the gap between standardized exams (nationwide A-levels, unified school exams, etc.) and individual lessons and support of students can be closed.c) Our main goal is to support the individual strenghs and posibillities of our students. The Job-Shadowing will be an important stimulus for the progression of our pedagogical competencies.3. Establish new contacts and cooperationsThe Job-Shadowing will support the transfer of knowledge in both directions. The HAK Steyr as well as the hosting school will be able to benefit sustainably from the collaboration becauseb) the outcomes will used in the school management c) the experineces we made in former projects proved that the personal contact and exchange of ideas will lead to friendships and to long lasting cooperations in the future.
