Although European school systems differ as far as their regulation, structure and organisation are concerned, they all often produce negative resultats regarding disadvantage and demotivation both in pupils and teachers.This phenomenon can be attributed to the tardiness of the school systems with respect to the development of a society produced by the new technology and the web, as well as by the widespread need for communication and interaction so poorly fullfilled in systems like that of the school which adopt mainly frontal methods of teaching. The CAPIRE project proposes to satisfy this need by the identification and defining of an educational model that intergrates traditional methods with innvative methodology. This model should allow for new approaches in education and be capable of activating cognitive interaction and learning processes which youngsters will find attractive thanks to the use of technology and the web. The application of this model would produce results which would improve the quality of the systems and procedures insectors dedicated to education; in fact il will be founded on convincing methodological choices which, although based on the existing ones, introduce innovative elements found in the co-operative approach and in the implementation of Net Learning. In conclusion the CAPIRE project intends defining a learning method through the web, which is absolutely original both in the initial stages of education and in professional training.
