“C.A.M.P. – Colours, activity, methodology, people!”
Start date: Jun 1, 2016, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

The project "C.A.M.P. - colours, activity, methodology, people" is aiming to provide young people with the opportunity to experience mobility and volunteering, to improve their competences and awareness of the diversity and shared values of Europe. To reach our goal we focus on a dual target group of young people: on one hand, we want to involve early school leavers who face difficulties in participating in mobility projects; on the other hand, we want to give unemployed former university students an opportunity to gain experiences and competences which could be useful for them to be more competitive on the labor market. We will host ten volunteers (France, England, Greece, Turkey and Lithuania) who will widely interact with local youngsters and members of the local community. We believe that each volunteer can bring color to the project and that one of the most important aspects of this short-term EVS is to increase the cultural awareness and tolerance of all the people involved, reflecting on the fact that Europe is made of many different colors, that each of them is beautiful and valuable, and that all together is even better. Taking in account the specific features of the participants mentioned above, we intend to pay extra attention to the training and evaluation aspects of the project. We plan to train, prepare and evaluate the group dynamics of the volunteers continuously during the whole duration of their stay. Reinforced mentorship will be provided and the older volunteer will help the younger ones, while our two long-term EVS will help the new short-term participants. The participants will have the chance to learn from each other and implement their own ideas, using non formal education methods as the co-organizers of intercultural summer camps.
