The objective of the project is to improve traffic solutions at Vaalimaa, the largest and most important border crossing point in Finland.Description of project:The project consists of stages I and II. This is stage II. The main objective is to build the first part of the Putamaantie road in the development area surrounding the Vaalimaa border station located within the municipality of Virolahti. The area is supporting area for the Vaalimaa international border station and the E 18 traffic route, with lacking infrastructure. The objective of the project is to improve the road network in the area and to improve the flow and safety of traffic in the area
