In modern labor market either at the national or at European level, changing and constantly growing cognitive needs make lifelong education- learning a crucial factor for both personal development and for overall economic development. Acquiring knowledge and skills is deemed necessary as it improves the effectiveness of individuals, while giving them necessary skills for a successful career In Greece school drop out, according to the official European data for 2011, defined at 13.1% with the target to fall below 10% by 2020. But even if seemingly the country seems to hold the student leak around the European average (13.5%), all estimates show that rates of early school leaving will increase dramatically due to the prolonged economic crisis, and the inability of many families to support the path of their members within the levels of the educational system. A key criterion for selecting the program , «Building emotional relationships to prevent early school leaving» ERIFO the organization based in Rome , was the student leak observed in the region of Messara from which the potential student of our school . At a time , however , when the acquisition of knowledge and skills is considered to be a shield for any form of social exclusion , poverty and marginalization, school leaving should trouble us all members of the educational community . The basic principle of education policy will be the unimpeded access of adolescents in the education system and the abolition of all educational exclusion . In our country and in the region of Messara in particular , as in all other European countries, the ostracized of the educational system are mainly children of economically weak families , children of immigrants and minority groups that usually have a poor school performance. In conclusion , educational inequalities lead to educational exclusion. The objectives of the project are to study the causes and effects of the phenomenon on both individual and broader social levels. Also our ultimate goal will be, on the one hand, to try to prevent illiteracy and, on the other hand, to deal with the problem in question. These objectives will be achieved with the support of teachers for early tracking of students who intend to leave school early and intervene in time and effectively. The method will not aim at the frontal traditional learning, but collaborative and active learning associated with the exchange of experiences. The process to be followed will be to collect data from our school and the neighbouring High Schools of the region, especially after the implementation of the Law of the New School and the current economic crisis. The potential long-term benefits of the measures and the involvement of local factors such as the Municipality and the labor market institutions. The ultimate goal is to limit the problem with specific strategies and programs such as: reduction of absenteeism, development of self-esteem , improvement in school performance , elimination of bullying, the sense of team , cultivation of positive experiences within the school such as artistic and sporting events activities. The proposal also aims to reduce delinquency in the region by limiting this phenomenon. Finally , it is expected to raise awareness of the local community through the dissemination of information in co-operation with the local press .
