Long-term EVS Building Adventures with Piedzīvojuma Gars in Latvia: March 1 - October 31, 2015Piedzīvojuma Gars will be hosting 2 adventurous, initiative volunteers (Bulgarian and Croatian) for 8 months with the aim to find new approaches to team-building activities by building, reconstructing and improving an adventure park! The volunteers will have the opportunities to participate in all the activities of Piedzīvojuma Gars, learn from the trainers about team-building methods they are using and why, do research about different outdoor organizations and adventure parks, come up with their own ideas for group activities as well as high and low rope obstacles that they will be building after making trials with groups, budget plans and descriptions of the activities. As a result, we want to make a booklet or video episodes with all the activities. Those materials will be later useful for anyone that has run out of interesting activities to lead for groups. With the project we want to show the world how important is constant change in life by varying the activity options and working with every group individually, making adjustable programs. Without change there is no improvement, there is only stagnancy, but, on a global scale, stagnancy in the life of only one individual can lead to problems in its personal life, in the community and even country. As a result of this project, we want to see:A society full of respect and unconditional acceptance learning to speak to people different from themselves, improve cultural awareness and become conscious of the potential of an individual. Change is seen not as a threat, but an opportunity. People are becoming aware of all the amazing possibilities life has to offer.Adventures are becoming a way of learning and experiential education is becoming more popular.
