In order the school to meet its needs, we strongly believe that the biggest priority is reinforcing organizations teachers’ competences; by updating their knowledge. The organization: i) in respect with the rapid global change of educational trends and ii) with the appreciation of the particular needs of the organization, focuses on teachers' training through an Erasmus + KeyActiom1 Program. An Erasmus + KeyAction1 program offers a significant opportunity for the organization to broaden its European profile and bring fresh ideas for teachers to interpret in everyday school reality. The rapid technological change in education and the demographic picture of the organization's students are the main reasons for urging the organization towards applying for training courses. The project's title ‘’Building a diversity sensitive school in a digital class: Reinforcing teachers' ICT competences and developing teaching strategies for diverse student groups" shows by its own the two top priorities after analyzing school's needs in a long discussion during a staff meeting early this school year : Organization needs ICT skills teachers' empowerment and the development of strategies for diverse students group to confront today's status of school. Mixed ability classes, different nationalities, different religions, newcomers from various parts of the world, low socioeconomic backgrounds characterize the school's status. This picture confirms the immediate implementation of the project.Furthermore the teachers of the organization are not prepared to cope with this situation and a need for an in-service training occurred in order to gain new Knowledge or update the old one. Thus our goals to be achieved via the European mobilities are the following:- the improvement of learning/teaching performance through ICT and inter-cultural issues - the increasing of teachers' self-esteem and self-empowerment in ICT and inter-cultural issues- the elimination of early school leaving especially by minorities and immigrants- the improvement of foreign language competences- enhancing inter-cultural awareness- motivating teachers' active participation in society- the increasing of willingness for participating in training courses in the futureso as to act in favor of students improvement, participants professional support and organization's European quality dimension. The school has set as a goal to train as many teachers as possible. Thirteen teachers out of twenty two have expressed interest for attending training courses . The participants will be decided after the project's approval by National Agent through several selection criteria (level of ICT skills, previous experience, English language speaking and writing level etc.). Practical and logistic matters of the project will be organized by the organization (i.e. the sending organization).New gained, knowledge will be shared among all staff and be disseminated to even more persons through planned activities. The selection of the training institutions was carefully implemented in order the organization to be ensure about the courses' quality, value of money and the dispersion of the mobilities in various countries of Europe (Spain, Poland and Czech Republic, Portugal, Finland and Italy). Project’s results will have the potential to be mainstreamed into the wider educational policy of school’s region and produce a regular and effective communication between partners on an ongoing basis. The organization strongly believes that the selected training courses will have a positive and long-lasting impact on students, teachers, parents and the community. The implementation of the project ’’Building a diversity sensitive school in a digital class: Reinforcing teachers' ICT competences and developing teaching strategies for diverse student groups" will push the school unit some steps forward, towards fulfilling the school's vision to become a modern, internationalized organization.
