Because of the civil war in Syria and the immigration due to the facts; the integration problems of the Syrian students in our school who have fled to our country, leaving all their goods, houses, relatives and above all; their past, has been the basis of our project. The city of Mersin which we live in has an important historical and cultural diversity. It is a city in which different believes have lived in harmony, dialogues have been formed, colsultations have occured, concencus and synthesis have dominated. The idea of the project has occured first in meetings with the teachers of Namık Kemal Middle School, then we’ve shared it with our partners; the course centre in Europe and the idea came up to perform it as a Project in which we can come together and work in order to form a solution to the problems and make a synergy.Our main cause is shine a light to integrate the students and to solve the problems of a generation struggling with individual, psychological, cultural and academic problems because of prejudices, sentimental emptiness, post-trauma stress disorder, cultural discordance and lack of peer relations.Our final and far-off aim is to shine a light to the integration of the Syrian immigrants, to set common standards in the light of science for the education of Syrian immigrants in our country by forming a climate of integrity, unity and colloboration during their education in our country. 10 days in service training course programme including the needed scientific, pedogocical and theoratical information intended to educate and integrate the Syrian students and also 5 days of on-the-job observation has been planned during mobility.For the project; 12 people who are ambitious, motivated, who take differences as prosperity, who have good communicate skills, who use IT efficiently in education, who have researching skills, but on the contrary, who lack some skills in educating and entegrating the Syrian students, will be chosen by exam and interview. In the preparation phase, SWOT analysis for the needs has been done, due to the data and the idea of the Project has occured, the problem solving process has begun by forming a project running team. By the time the project will be approved, the participants are going to be determined according to the criteria and the exam results; logistic support, language preperations, contracts for the first mobility in Madrid, Spain are going to be completed for the first mobility. Then, to learn the different methods and techniques for the education and integration of the Syrian students, we are going to fly to Madrid. The authority of the course will accompany us during daily evoluations and there will be a general assessment at the end of the course. By the time we return to Turkey, application and dissemination activities will take place and inter-school activities will be held. At the same time, preperations for the second step; job shadowing observation in Austria-Vienna OVS GRUNDSTEİNGASSE PRİMARY SCHOOL will be completed. We will fly to Austria and learn as much as possible from the data and the experience with the foreign students of this school. On the return, all the information and skills acquired will be used for inter-school and around-school application and dissemination process. A full report will be prepared at the end of the process. The outcome will be shared with the institutions and the organizations that have the possibility to face with the similar problems by using written and audo-visual ways. In general, at the end of the project;There will be a decrease in behavioral problems of the Syrian students, peer relations will improve, prejudices will be broken, the students will take active part in the lessons, academic achievement will increase, the problems will be able to be handled with the parent-school-teacher co-operation. Both the Syrian and the Turkish students will be more relaxed and happier individual, psychological, academic, social and culturel terms. Teachers will accomplish in a different point of view to the solutions of the problems and positive experience in terms of culture and foreign language. It will have positive impact on the expectations of the instution’s vision and mission and institutional configuration will be stronger, yearly schedules and strategic plans will be revised. Our main aim is to shine a light and to encourage our Syrian students, to renew the little dialogue and consulting culture we’ve formed, to see the problems in a different way, to improve empathy and most of all, to make a contribution to them for being a better human and getting a better education, to share the ideas in a point of view concerning the European criteria in practice.
