BSM-SchülerInnen auf Auslandspraktikum in Milano
Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

A: Our school, Berufsschule Mattighofen (Feldstrasse 3, A-5230 Mattighofen), with the Erasmus + K1 mobility project, would like to send 10 students of "KFZ-Techniker PKW " and 5 students of "Motorradtechniker " together with 2 accompanying teachers, for two weeks to Italy, from 15th Ferbuary 2015 til 28th February 2015. The two host companies are in Milan: - EVOLVO Srl, is specialized in organizing international internships, workplacement, and apprentinceship, but in meantime they are an organization that has great experience with organizing accomodation, meals, public transport pass and cultural programmes as well. - The other host company is a giant firm, which has 500 employees - car mechanics, its name is Gruppo Fassina. During the apprenticeship the students will have possibility to get to know several new automotive and engine system technologies different from the Austrian automotive systems, and in addition the students can improve their language skills as well. They can acquire knowledge about Italian, Swiss and German auto-moto installation devices, methods and techniques thanks to a wide range of international partner companies. Enormous benefit of the project is that our students can work in real workplaces and NOT in a workshop of school, or training center. This can be considered as a big advantage when they start looking for jobs, thanks to several Italian investors who are seated around Salzburg. The project 's working language is English , but we hope that at the end of the project, our students will become motivated to learn another foreign language(s) too. The planned duration of the project is 12 months: we would like to start the project in July 2014 and the selection phase for September 2014, the preparation phase for spring of 2015, the trip in February, and the closing phase is planed for April 2015. This is the first time that we present this kind of an application and we really hope that our talented and enthusiastic students and teachers enrich our school with plenty of useful experience! B: The Director Bernhard Leitgeb, MA visits with two other selected colleagues from the Vocational School Mattighofen the conference "Welcome to The Future of Education", ecomedia 2014 in Hamar, Norway. New connections are created. We aim for better educational standard. Based on the Metallkongeress 2013, shall mostly with GlobalLab, Autodesk and other already known academic partners in Europe further connections be strenghtened.
