Brücken bauen mit E-Twinning
Start date: Jun 1, 2015, End date: May 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

The Albert-Schweitzer-Gymnasium in Sömmerda is a European School and we would like to work further to develop new aspects to our profile. To do this we need motivated and well trained teachers and pupils, who will work together on new communication platforms. One such platform is E-Twinning, where our aim is to build bridges between our partner schools. We want to make Europe come to life in the classroom, as well as develop new projects which look to the future. Therefore we want to become skilled with the use of E-Twinning and at the same time promote new communication opportunities. 11 teachers from the European team in our school want to take on this challenge. In 3 project meetings we want to become trained in the use of E-Twinning, initiate a work experience scheme and develop further innovative projects. This campaign will span across a number of subjects. The collaberative work on a common theme will expand the knowledge, skills and abilities of participants in many different countries. European contacts support the vocational development , that is a new aspect for our further work. The teachers will get to know different types of schools and exchange educational competences and extend their planning abilities. Through this Europe-wide comparison teachers can strengthen their proficiency and illustrate this changed vision of Europe to their pupils. Through the different results from various workshops, an improved European awareness can be instilled by parents and the public. Europe as an opportunity, shaping Europe together- thatis the long term aim in our profile as a European school.
