Bridge to Better Future

Most people with low education level know very well that education is the key to social and economic progress, and yet they often avoid participation in educational activities. Why? - In many cases because they are convinced that 'education is not for them'; they have a feeling of not belonging in the educational system, a feeling of being inadequate. What do learners define as motivating factors? And how do partner organizations across Europe tacle the process of motivating this target group? In the project 'Bridge to Better Future', the participating organizations will attempt to define some answers to these questions by involving the learners, extracting best practices by observing each others' work, analyzing approaches and getting inspiration from experts in the field. The partnership includes representatives of formal and non-formal education with a wide range of activites and target groups. The common factor is a commitment to work for those adult students, who run the risk of marginalisation. The outputs of the partners will be: The learning needs (in relation to motivational factors for people with low education levels) in respective parner organisation have been mapped. The good practices and challenges in relation to motivational factors (learners' and staff's perspective) have been shared and documented.Alternative strategies to address challenges in relation to motivational factors have been identified and documented.
