Breaking the Silence 2016
Start date: Sep 1, 2015, End date: Dec 31, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Breaking the Silence 2015 project,is an international exchange between the three countries: Romania, Slovenia and Croatia. This year, instead of extending the partnership we decided to upgrade the content of our exchange. The idea of the project was launched at the TOT in 2012, but has far exceeded the conceptual methods. Through the learning of sign language, workshops and international exchange, the project offers a great base for students of medical sector rated the basics of communication with deaf and hearing impaired. Education about access to health minorities Deaf and Hard of Hearing, addressing the issue of integration of disabled persons into society and learn methods of learning to improve integration between disabled and healthy individuals through education through sport. This year's upgrade project serves meeting the elderly population and their needs in terms of social inclusion and deafness. The scope of inclusion of older people with this aspect has not yet been studied, which we will do and prepare a strategy (recommendations for further work in this field of youth health and age). Knowledge allows the participants to reduce barriers between patients and health care professionals with auditory or any of the other types of disability. This year we will build on the results from the year 2013-14. Participants of previous exchanges will use their experience to prepare high-quality workshops and guide the accumulation of new knowledge. As in the previous year we will connect with the disabled and minorities together and organize activities, which will be implemented through the idea of integration of minorities through sport. Our knowledge together with our partners will expand, as we will be researching the scope of the integration of education and access to health services for older people and social inclusion, specifically for hearing impairdness. This will offer all participants new knowledge, regardless of experience from previous years. The project will reach its peak at the exchange, which will be implemented in Slovenia. Within these 8 days, the participants (15 new participants and 15 youth leaders or participants with exchange experience) will gain throughout the program, which will be carried out exclusively by the participants of the exchange in 2013 and 2014, a new and broader insight into the above-mentioned issues.
