"Borderline" unites young people from Germany, Poland, the Czech Republic, Turkey and Hungary for a 10-day youth exchange in the city of Magdeburg. Within the last decades as well as today, a multitude of transformational processes of political, economical and social nature happened in the countries where the participants of the ages 13-27 come from. During the project, the 40 youngsters will participate in workshops on the topics of European Union citizenship, borders and demarcations, the feeling of belonging and opportunities of youth participation on a regional, national and international level. They will express and reflect these contents creatively while discovering urban places within the city of Magdeburg and during excursions. To achieve sustainable and authentic results, "Borderline" focusses on active media work that is both process- and product-oriented: An efficient platform to share the results and experiences of dealing with the above-mentioned topics with the public (film, photography, blog design, and dance) will be provided to the participants. By this, the youngsters shall realize their multiple opportunities, as well as reflect on their individual and different ways of living and living together in today's Europe.“Borderline” supports active participation of the young people taking part in the exchange and animates them to seize initiative and realize the opportunities to influence their world.
