Youth exchange "Body in Action" was held in Pona, Georgia from 19th until 27th of July. This exchange aimed to get participants familiar with the fact that sport makes a significant contribution to our well-being, playing also an important role in the development of ones personality but in the same time influencing development of the economy, environment and society in general. Youth exchange Body in Action was organised in relation to the mission of the European Youth Olympic Festival 2015 held in Tbilisi, Georgia from 26 of July till 1 of August Through this exchange we used sport and recreation as a tool for improvement of rural youth’s quality of life giving them the knowledge and tools that will raise their motivation, self-development, self-reliance, as sport has the power to act as a mobilizing tool in a way that no other activities do. Through non-formal education methods, by combining fun, enjoyment and physical challenges we want to encourage young people to participate in sports in order to promote social interaction and well-being. This lead to the development and sustainability of a healthy lifestyle and life-long attitude in adulthood among participants. The Youth exchange Body in Action also was linked to the objectives of the KA1 mobility action, such as the improvement of foreign languages competence, raising awareness and understanding of other countries and cultures, building international connections and a sense of European citizenship and identity. Moreover, provides support of personal and professional development through non-formal education, and overall a better recognition of competences gained through experiences abroad. The Youth Exchange was addressing the issues of healthy life style, nutrition, mental relaxation, stress management, fighting modern health challenges, e.g. obesity, introducing outdoor style of living. Moreover, the youth exchange will develop and encourage leadership, team work, cooperation skills, essential for participants, personal and professional life. Body in Action was stressing the importance to develop and implement the healthy life style in everyone’s life, as nowadays youngsters tend to spend their free time indoors and to adopt unhealthy eating habits.
