Blue Sports (plavi sportovi)
Start date: Mar 2, 2015,
End date: Aug 1, 2015
Project Blue Sport was designed by multi-year partners from Czech Republic, Romania and Croatia working and interacting live and through several media platforms. Therefore, Blue Sports was conceived as a multicultural and multidimensional project in the natural environment having for one of the main objectives encouraging young people in engaging in sports activities, especially those related to the sea and water, and thus the adoption of healthy lifestyles. A large number of children today spend a significant amount of time sitting in front of computers, televisions and similar devices, while less time is devoted to being active and moving. Sedentary lifestyle increases the risk of developing diseases associated with increased body weight, inactivity, cardiovascular and respiratory systems, and we want to help prevent this by providing adequate, appropriate, healthy and interesting alternative. The main activity will be held in Jelsa on island of Hvar in Croatia from 06.16.2015. to 28.06.2015. Young participants and leaders were involved from the beginning in writing of the project and its formation, and will be active stakeholders of all phases of the project. Furthermore, they will be implementors of dissemination of results after project completion. Blue Sport will train 45 young people for promoters of healthy habits and lifestyles and transversal skills such as taking initiative, problem-solving techniques, developing critical thinking, the use of foreign languages, enhancing communication skills, adapting to unforeseen circumstances, the application of new knowledge, creativity and innovation. Various workshops and activities will enable the development self-activism, tolerance, self-confidence and self-esteem. Moreover, the environment in which the project activities will be placed will have a positive impact on the study of cultural diversity, developing solidarity and promoting the fundamental values of the EU.
