The project is directed to 38 pupils of classes II and III of Complex of Technical Schools in Bialystok, occupation - technician mechanic and automotive technician, wood technology technician and nutrition and catering services technician.The project is a response to the diagnosed problems: the low quality of vocational education provided at Complex of Technical Schools in Bialystok, mismatching skills and abilities of students leaving school with regard to the requirements of the labor market and the lack of relevant documents that could indicate additional qualifications.The project was designed to enhance the employment potential of future graduates and thus reduce the proportion of unemployed graduates of the institution.In the preparation of the project were also taken into account the expectations of employers' from Podlaskie region in terms of qualifications and competencies of graduates of vocational schools. The project is necessary for three reasons: the need for staff training in relation to the requirements and expectations of employers,to increase the employment opportunities of future graduates of the technician mechanic and automotive technician and the need to include employers in the education proces. The aim of the project is to increase the employment opportunities of the project participants through participation in internships abroad implemented in companies in Portugal and Turkey. The specific objectives are: -Increasing the number of hours of practice / internship training programs - The development with foreign and national employers verification methods and assessment skills of students gained during internships and apprenticeships - Increase knowledge about the specific work of mechanical companies - Increasing the attractiveness of vocational training in mechanical industry - Increase cooperation between the school and local, Polish and European companies - Increased involvement of business internships in the assessment of practical skills of participants internships - Adopting a uniform system of validation learning outcomes and the possibility of certification. Implementation of the planned project objectives will be possible by performing from 23.01.2015 to 07.02.2015 for students and teachers of Complex of Technical Schools in Bialystok during internships in Turkish and Portuguese companies. Skills, knowledge and competencies acquired during the course of the internship will be validated using ECVET. All participants will receive certificates and Europass Mobility, a listing on graduation certificate indicating successful completion of internship with a specific assessment. Internship program also provide the solutions used in the mechanical industry in Europe. The training program includes: Occupation: technician mechanic [311504]- class II Unit: Machining Technology Module: Selection of machining and tooling to perform the detail on the basis of technical drawing Occupation: automotive technician [311513]- class II Unit: Chassis and Body vehicles Module Diagnosis of vehicles Occupation: wood technology technician [311922 ] - class II Unit: Technology of auxiliary work and renovation Module Repair and restoration of wood and wood materials Occupation: nutrition and food service organizations [343404] - Class III Unit: gastronomic laboratory Module: Preparation and forwarding of Turkish cuisine We expect that after the implementation of the project participants of internships: • acquire the skills expected by employers, • thanks to reliable and up to date theoretical and practical knowledge the the use of modern information technology will achieve better results on the external exam training, • will be more competitive in the labor market, increase employment opportunities,•acquire key skills (in particular the use of modern technology, the practical application of the English language) • strengthen self-esteem and self-motivation, assertiveness, acquire teamwork skills and interpersonal communication) • become familiar with the realities of the European labor market, • gain knowledge about the negative effects of discrimination and the benefits of diversity of cultures, • receive a base for further skills development and vocational qualifications in education. The project will positively affect the other students of the school, because it will be the basis for the dissemination of good practices developed while working with students. The effects of the project will be a source of good practice in the acquisition and development of key competencies - professional and will be used by teachers of vocational subjects in subsequent years.
