We also will be old!
With the title of our project we wanted to express that even nowadays children and young people get older in the future. Most of us unfortunately do not think about the life of the elderly and their life quality. Our project focuses on what can we do to sustainably improve the knowledge on geriatric care in practice.
The Europe Union develops among other things the annually further training programs for the institutions and realize a qualification programs for care helper. Our vocational school students visit Germany and make a 2-weeks-internship in geriatric care. They will practice the German standards with learning by doing. Also among the training period they will get to know many elderly people from different cultures and build friendships with them. We see this also as a great opportunity to learn German language in basic communication level.
