Start date: Dec 31, 2015, End date: Dec 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

One Man Two Languages The main objective of our project is to raise the educational level of our staff and improve their quality of life. By not seeing a foreign language as a course, the education level of our educators and school will improve. Our educators whose education level will increase, are going to improve the quality of education in our school and it will reflect to our students. Initially our entire school staff who wish to participate in our Project will participate in our Project. Our Project will be announced to all our staff for signature. Our staff who wants to take place in this Project is going to have 6 hours theoretically and practically English education for 6 months. Thus they will have had 150 hours of language training. It’s expected that our teachers are going to use these information in their practical life. Moreover, an English language room will be set in our school and only English will be spoken here. While setting this room our school management and English teachers will be responsible. By speaking English in this room our educators are going to watch films in English and they are going to improve their knowledge. Necessary training is going to be given to our educators in order to use their skills in education platforms like e-twinning and they will be encouraged to make applications. Our teachers who are going to complete the language training are going to take a test. Our 10 teachers who are going to be successfull in both oral and written exams, will be sent to England for two weeks for language training. Oral and written exams are going to be applied by our English teachers and school management. Our teachers’ work about e-twinning, will effect their oral grades. Our staff who are going to have language training in England will be certificated in detailed about how many hours and which courses they have taken. Our educators who will have completed language training can take (KPDS) “Examination of Foreign Language Proficiency of State Employees” and identify their level of education after they have come back to our country. They also can continue their education with doctoral and master’s programs. Our school management is going to make agreements with various universities and provide seminars about language training, master and doctoral studies. Our staff is going to be encouraged to increase their academical level. All the works done, will be announced in our school’s internet site with photographs and films. Moreover, a copy of our school magazine will be dedicated to this project and this magazine is going to be delivered to all schools in Tarsus free of charge. By making presentations about our project, the interest of our staff about European projects will be increased. CD’s and booklets about our project will be delivered to our visitors who visit our school.
