Bilingválnosťou k multikulturalizmu
Start date: Jun 1, 2015,
End date: May 31, 2016
The project focuses on the preparation of a group of teachers who will be knowledge- and practically prepared for the needs of the school subjects History, Culture and Art, Literature in English and technical subjects using the CLIL method. After opening the first grade of bilingual class in school in 2014/2015 the requirements for teaching of these subjects increased. By completing educational activities abroad we expect our teachers to broaden the knowledge and experience, because they can make an observation and they will be able to create an overview of the British curriculum within those objects and will be able to discuss various issues with foreign colleagues, compare methods of teaching and that experience will help them make teaching materials, texts and presentation of the aforesaid subjects that teachers themselves need to obtain and are suitable for our bilingual high school students. Teaching materials will be used in the future and will be at the disposal for other colleagues who will be appointed to teach those subjects. All these advantages of foreign exchange will bring plenty of inspiration and creativity for the future work, which will motivate not only teachers but also students at the grammar school. We will offer the acquired experience and knowledge through workshops to the teachers of English language and technical subjects in secondary schools in the Rožňava district. Course materials will be posted on the website and will be available to teachers, students and the wider public.
