COLEGIO MARISTA CASTILLA from Palencia, taking into account, its strategic plan wants to stimulate the teaching of a bilingual education and normalisation of English language between teachers and students by means of this bilingual education project. The objectives are the following: 1- To improve the teacher´s performance in the bilingual section and as English teachers as well, so that pupils could improve their linguistic competence in English. Accordingly, we would like that our pupils obtain in the short run the certificate in English (B2). 2- To increase the number of teachers in our school with a level equivalent to B2, and in this way, help to reinforce the development of our bilingual project. The objective, in the long run, is that, in two years´ time our school may double the number teachers with a certificate in English language (equivalent to B2). Our final objective would be that 40% of our teacher staff could obtain this certificate. To fulfill these objectives, we have thought about several exchange programs to attend courses about CLIL methodology, new methodologies in English teaching and English courses in order to obtain certificates in languages. Through this project, our school wishes to become a reference in Palencia and its province, not only in English teaching, but also in Bilingual Education.
