Beyond nation - A future without division

Within the project "Beyond nation - A future without division" the attendees will be able to widen and share their knowledge of the various fields of European politics and supported in formulating their political demands. During the course of a summer camp new knowledge should be transmitted, new findings should be obtained and a collective awareness for a European identity should be built.
The approximately 50 to 70 participants will be aged 14 to 30 years and are comprised of politically interested youths from all over Europe. Partners in this project are various youth organizations under the umbrella organization "Young Pirates of Europe". A membership in one of those organizations is not obligatory to take part in the event. Participation in the event is open to anyone. Together with the attendees the idea of a post-national Europe will be will be taught through self-learning modules, presentations, workshops and lectures.
A knowledge-base among attendees should be built and existing knowledge about the ideas and responsibility of a united Europe should be deepened and tested. This includes sharing of knowledge through lectures, workshops and discussions and working on possible solutions independently of every participant. Great importance is devoted to develop an awareness of every attendees own place in Europe. Through group and outdoor games attendees will get to know each other and network.
Joint activities will ensure the social component of this project and hopefully lead to more transnational links and interregional cooperation in the future. The awareness for a diverse, united Europe will be strengthened through the new-found knowledge about Europe and its policies together with the new transnational contacts made.
The attendees should identify with an united Europe, commit long term to a borderless, common continent and continue to work actively towards this aim.
