Better employability for minority youth

Current economy present great challenge for youth participation in labor market, especially for those youth from minority groups. In order to contribute facing those challenges the Belgrade Open School will host training course “Better employability for minority youth” in Serbia. Project will gather 28 participants and 5 experts and support staff from EU and SEE countries: Macedonia, Turkey, Latvia, Finland, Italy, Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina. Overall aim of the project is building capacities of youth workers from Europe to support different minority groups in increasing their employability and career development. Objectives of the project are: to increase employability of youngsters for more effective employment and economic development; to improve career advising skills of youth workers; to share knowledge about youth employability; to strengthen youth workers in helping minority youth career development; to assist in better integration of minority group into the labour market; to provide opportunities for minority group to experience youth international projects; to present non-formal learning methods as an instrument that can incite dialogue between young people; to facilitate further collaboration and to promote Youth in Action programme and Youth on Move programme; to improve collaboration between organizations from EU and SEE countries and to create stronger partnerships for future projects in the European Context. Training will provide non-formal learning experience in international context considering themes such as: skills for better youth employability, gathering and spreading of labour market information, advocacy and lobbying for youth rights in labour market, minority groups of youth in labour markets (migrants, IDP’s, refugees, ethnical or national minorities), inclusion of minority youth, intercultural learning, etc. Training activity will be realized from period 5th- 12 Of October. Total budget of project requested is 17.387,30 EUR.
