Start date: Jul 1, 2014, End date: Jun 30, 2016 PROJECT  FINISHED

Globalisation and Europeanization in politics, economy and society leads to a growing internationally based learning and working environment from all students in vocational training. The opening of the European labour market has increased the competition but also leads to a lack of flexible specialists with a European background. Education and soft skills will be more in the focus of political issues. Individual personal development, especially life-long learning, innovation and mobility form the guarantee for a place in the current international world of work. Aims of the project: Learning and advancement of knowledge for a better understanding of national specific education and economic systems within the EU and a focus on vocational training within the European aspect. Getting to know international and European enterprises and childcare and youth care centres with an intercultural aspect in education and their demands to current applicants. Learning about the business interrelations of international enterprises. Obtaining additional specific knowledge of know-how and expert knowledge within European aspects. Acquisition of current additional specialised knowledge in languages. Extension of specific experience in the field of social pedagogic, early-learning education and a focus on economic questions in enterprises. Improving understanding for a growing dematerialisation in the economy and European changes into a network-society, which facilitates international exchange. Consolidation of the idea of a common European Union and motivating a European wide orientation and view. Transfer of knowledge, required in a global environment, European operations, co-operation in the economy, role of education and life-long learning as factors of production, concentration on core competences and virtualisation and e-commerce. Practical application and intensification of specific, modern language skills of receiving country. Application of theoretical knowledge and its extension within the European component. Contribution to individual development towards European citizenship on the basis of intercultural events in the receiving country and advancement of intercultural competences and strengthening of one’s own national identity. Contribution of individual national aspects to intercultural exchange. Improving transparency and recognition of qualifications and competences within the European Union, including those which were obtained in the frame of non-formal or informal learning. Initiation and intensification of networks by using modern media and the transfer of know-how of institutions in the educational process. For our vocational trainings we plan to send 29 participants and 1 accompanying person. The students in the field of commerce have obtained basic theoretical knowledge of trade and language through their education by the end of the 1st year. The didactical focus of the education of nursery school teachers is focused on the ability of the students to support the language development of children and the implementation of an international European idea. They have observed and taken an active role in the early multi-language learning process based on the European idea. The students who are highly motivated for a placement abroad belong to the most active students with a solid knowledge and very good basic language skills and have been chosen due to their interesting projects for the school. The commercial assistants and the foreign language correspondents will work in companies in various departments. In this phase they will observe and get to know the processes in the company. Their tutors will then instruct them to fulfil their own tasks in the department, such as receiving guests, telephoning in a foreign language, preparing bookkeeping and preparation of meetings. The nursery school teachers will get to know the pedagogical concept of the institution and education and will manage special activities daily. During the placements a self-evaluation will take place, in which all students participate. The project will be supervised by intensive monitoring, which demands constant communication among all parties. This way permanent progress in learning of each participant will be enabled and thus ensure the success of the entire project. All participants are required to write a report about their placement, their own learning process and progress. Participants will share their experience with mobility in the receiving country with others during organized events. They contribute to sensitizing learners to the European idea and ensure a sustainable effect for such placements. The European Passport of Mobility will be delivered to participants. Implementation of a long-term European way of thinking is achieved and participants can successfully use the skills and intercultural competences gained during the placement for their future educational and career goals.
