Start date: Jun 26, 2014, End date: Jun 25, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

BEAT- Become a European teacher is a long term project at the Thomas-Eßer-Berufskolleg. As part of the further vocational training course on data security, teachers acquire knowledge and skills regarding the critically-reflected application of IT and new media, taking into account aspects of data security. On the course a wide variety of aspects are dealt with. These include: - legal aspects - the didactic-methodical embedding of IT in lessons - new forms of IT (mobile devices, social networks etc.). You will broaden your methodological knowledge of how to integrate issues of data security into lessons and learn about the influences of new media in and for schools. In addition participants acquire intercultural impressions and expand their European understanding regarding education and the exchange of information and data, as well as getting an insight into open learning resources. The course leads to a heightened sensitivity regarding all aspects of data security for all concerned through: - the experiences gained on the sensible didactical use of IKT - the internationalisation of our lessons - addressing problems posed by the use of IT - the possibilities of mastering challenges set for school lessons faced by teachers and students alike.
