YOUTH EXCHANGE The youth exchange on employability will take place in Armenia, in October 2014. Youth Initiative Centre will be hosting organisation. Within the framework of the project, a 8-day employability youth exchange will be organized. The YE will bring together 5 representatives per each of 6 organizations from Programme and EPW countries. Each country group will consist of 4 participants and 1 team leader. The YE will host 30 young people who are high school student, university undergraduates or recent graduates with no occupation. The youth exchange aims at increasing the youth employability and active citizenship of the youngsters. The methodology will be based on non-formal learning. The objectives of the project are; - To enhance the employability of the youth coming from different countries through providing job & communication skills and to prepare them for job market; - To share the best practices and tools of employability; - To encourage the participants’ civic activism through corresponding workshops and activities; - To share the best practices and tools of employability. Youth unemployment is getting higher prominence not only in Armenia but also in all Europe. All the partner countries involved are facing youth unemployment issue. There are 2 sides of the problem; the lack of job opportunities and lack of qualified skilled youth. The YE aims at increasing the youth employability and active citizenship of the youngsters. The project objectives were set according the needs and interests of the participants. The objectives of the project are to enhance the employability of the youth coming from different countries through providing job and communication skills, to encourage the participants' active citizenship through corresponding workshops and activities and to promote non-formal education, which will be the main strategy of working during the youth exchange. The workshops on soft skills development /CV, Motivation Letter, Interview, Electronic Literacy, Social Media/, project management, volunteering, leadership, conflict management and negotiation will be held to provide them with the skills to be competent in job market. The workshops will be held by the experts invited by the host organization. The other workshops and activities on team-building, team dynamic, the simulation games, intercultural activities will be run by the team leaders. As the participants needs and interests were taken into account starting from the very beginning of the project, the participants will be the main actors of the project during the whole process of the project. The exchange is organized for youth, by youth and with youth. The participants will be encouraged and will be given space to initiate and do their own activities. No effort will be spared to make the atmosphere during the project relaxed and constructive. As this project partnership is a combination of Eastern Europe and Caucasian (EECA) and Europe, this project emphasize that Europe is not only the European Union, but it is much larger community that shares the same values. EUROPÄISCHER FREIWILLIGENDIENST Der Freiwilligendienst wird bei den EU-Projekten des Vereins FAIRbund e.V. angesiedelt sein. Zum Schwerpunkt der Arbeit der ukrainischen Freiwilligen, werden die Themenbereiche: Medien und Kommunikation, Jugendinformation, Arbeitslosigkeit und das Europabewusstsein gehören. Dabei hat sie unterstützende Aufgaben bei der Koordination von Ausstauschprojekten in den Programmen Jugend in Aktion und Leonardo da Vinci, sie wird aber keinen Mitarbeiter erstezen und trägt keine Verantwortung im Sinne eines festangestellten Mitarbeiters. Sie wird je nach Eignung eigene Aufgabengebiete koordinieren und durchführen können in Zusammenhang mit jungen arbeitslosen Deutschen und ausländischen Teilnehmern an Programmen in Leipzig. Ein großes Aufgabengebiet wird auch die Öffentlichkeitsarbeit der Projekte sein: Webseitenaktualisierung, Blogerstellung für laufende Projekte, Flyer-Erstellung und andere PR-Aktivitäten. Die Dauer des Aufenthaltes wird 12 Monate umfassen. Die Freiwillige aus der Ukraine wird arbeitslose Jugendliche auf Auslandsaufenthalte mit vorbereiten und internationale Jugendbegegnungen initiieren. Das Ziel des Projektes ist es mit Hilfe der europäischen Freiwilligen über Möglichkeiten in Europa aktiv zu werden zu informieren und mit Kreativität und Kunst die Aufmerksamkeit zu wecken. Der Dienst beginnt am 1. Oktober 2014 und dauert bis 30. September 2015.
