BDC Discoveries 2016 will take place within three residential modules, focusing on diverse and high-profile training in project development, pitching, packaging and networking. The first module held in Sofia, Bulgaria is intensive training on development and storytelling with the valuable support of renowned tutors. The module is organized in lectures, group work, case-studies with screenings and many individual meetings. Participants are offered multiple ways to approach their content from different perspectives and to interact productively with the rest of participants and their projects. In the second module held in Prizren, Kosovo, during the renowned DokuFest, the main focus is packaging, sales and project presentation. Lectures and group work are focused on how to approach and work with a sales agent, how to pitch your project, how to do outreach film campaigns. A pitching forum is organized and held in front of a panel of jury members and accompanied by a number of awards. This is for many of the participants a first live pitching and also an important experience in a protected environment where the training is the central objective. The third module held in the framework of Co-Production Meetings at DOK Leipzig lets BDC Discoveries 2016 stands out - thanks to the boutique format of BDC Discoveries we manage to expose our participants in a very efficient and attractive way and to offer a number of opportunities for real networking with professionals and decision-makers and for pitching of projects.
