This project aims to make many improvements in the area of education for children with autism. These project targets include; an increase in the quality of education provided for children with autism, improvements of the educators to develop more accurate and effective teaching strategies and to create more appropriate solutions for the problem situations. In this respect, the project will achieve the following purposes: • To develop individualistic (personal) education plan for the children with special need,• To increase the effectiveness of the teaching period in class,• To develop more extracurricular activities,• To encourage ally foundations nearby such as governorships, municipality and non-governmental organizations to develop new projects for children with autism,• To observe the utilization of PECS and activity schedule and make the accurate adaptation for the (our) institution, • To detect and create effective solutions for the problems in the education of children with autism in our school, our region, and our country, • To overcome the behavioral problems of children with autism and to orientate new and modern perspectives in the areas of communication skills, social skills, sexual education and toilet training, • • To observe the training programs for parents to give more appropriate consultation services to the parents in our institutions, • To exchange information about the procedures of diagnoses and the placement of children with autism into the appropriate schools, • To evaluate and share the techniques and approaches being used and found very useful and successful in our institutions, • To evaluate the activities used in the societal orientation course and take the opinions from the partner institution, • To give information about the autism act plan, being planned to be used for the parents of children with autism in our country. To achieve the stated purposes, 10 special education teachers, responsible for the education given to the children with autism in our school, and 2 school counselor will participate the project. These participants as a group will attend to the course in Germany for 2 weeks. Within these people, there is no disabled person who needs special interventions. With the help of the observations in the institutions in Europe, the participants will gain experience about the new techniques and approaches, extra materials, course contents and functioning, school environment used for the children with autism. • The participants will also gain information about the areas of employment for adults with autism, • The participant will be able design appropriate interventions to integrate the needs of children with autism in the education system, • To improve the hydrotherapy and sensation focus rooms in our school will lead to develop alternative therapy approaches for the children with autism, As the outcomes of the project; • The participants will provide educative seminars to identify and solve the problems of children with autism by interviewing with parents, teachers, doctors, psychologists and language therapists. • Activities will be arranged to introduce and to raise the awareness about the practices and interventions for children with autism with the help of the local media. • Activities to give information in the local area about the materials and approaches to improve the skills of children with autism and help them to gain new competencies in their inclusion to the education system. • The key aim of the project is to help children with autism become more able and autonomous in the society and to reach this purpose, the project will help us to detect and create more useful solutions about the problems in the education of these children. • With this project, the participants will be able to have a universal perspective about the practices in the education of children with autism by observing the procedures and processes in Europe and these help us to adapt the effective practices into our schools. • In the project, with the help of the observation opportunity, the participants will be able to compare and contrast the educational programs and create more effective and sensitive programs for cultural diversity. • In the project, the opinions and ideas of the personnel working with children with autism will build the basis to initiate new and more effective intervention programs for these children.
