Ballyfermot Youth Service - 3558 Miles of Friendship
Start date: May 1, 2013,

Our project is called 3558 miles of friendship, which is the distance between Lithuania, Poland and Ireland. , this will be the third part of our collaboration together and our aims and objectives are to build on the friendships between the young people and organisations and to extend our mutual understanding of one another by participating in this European project., sharing our common values and understanding of one another. The project will allow the young people to make a short film on their lives in their own country and to share this with one another, this will help to show what life is like in different countries. One of our primary objectives is to improve the confidence of the young people by providing them with opportunities to take leadership roles by allowing them the space and time to plan and deliver activities, presentations, performances, speaking in front of one another and learning by doing. There will be 38 participants and seven leaders. The project will be based in Dublin for one day and the remainder will be in the Kerry Gaelteacht. Dunquin. We intend to use the opportunity to explore each others culture through dance , sport and art based activities. We will use the natural environment for our sporting activities. The methods used throughout the project will be non formal and each activity will be done using group work methods.
