PARTICIPANTS: We plan 4-week internships for two 10 student groups in Paphos/Cyprus (the first one in April 2016 and the 2nd one in September/October 2016) and two others in Mellieha/Malta (in May 2016 and in September/October 2016). Each group will leave with a supervisor. These are hotel management and tourism services students . They acquired quite a lot of experience in tourism during the three years of study. the school year. Their work during summer placements and practical trainings was performed in Polish hotels of various standards. Now, young people will be thrown into the deep end. They are going to work in luxurious resorts where they will become acquainted with duties at the reception, restaurant, pubs or recreation and sports centres, room service, during conferences and finally with the work connected with organization of trips and cruises in the Mediterranean Sea. NEEDS No less important for them, will be improvment of English and learning basic phrases of Greek / Maltese. The chance to leave for such attractive countries as Cyprus/Malta seems to be a great adventure for our trainees, not only as tourists, but first of all as professionals, Our students will experience it there themselves. RESULTS They are not only going to develop their already obtained skills and knowledge in hospitality but also improve their quality. It will also bring them development of their personalities. MAIN GOALS of placements are connected with improvement of professional and linguistic competencies. Contacts with foreigners will cause comprehensive development of their personality. They will begin to see the world through the eyes of Europeans. After four weeks mature people will come back to Poland. They will be professionals knowing English much better than before, who will know what to do in the future, aware of their skills and value, tolerant in the broad sense of the word. They will be creative and first of all enterprising and they will not be afraid of undertaking decisions and the risk. In the future, these young people may themselves decide to open up their own company providing hospitality services, or occupy high positions in the companies that will employ them. We will permanently monitor placements by tutors / managers / foreign partners. Hotel managers assured us that their highly qualified staff will do their best to make the best train our trainees and also try to adjust the scope of their work to be of interest, practical and linguistic capabilities of individuals. It will be Invaluable for young people better understand these interesting countries, their history, monuments, local people and their habits. It is foreseen within trips in their free time, and in the course of pedagogical-cultural-linguistic meetings (30h) and 10-hour course of Greek and Maltese language, which will be held in the first week of training. Integration events will be used to strengthen the bonds of friendship .Trainees will invite their friends from Malta/Cyprus on integration meetings. Daily conversations with them can turn into a long-term friendship. Maybe once part of Polish trainees decide to come back and settle there forever. Students will write reports and fill in questionnaires after arrival in Poland. They will also take part in promotion of the project at school and outside. Our partners will be also asked to advise the local press about our placements organized within frameworks of the Erasmus+ Programme. Trainees will receive certificates of participation in pedagogical-cultural and linguistic courses, as well as foreign internships - Europass Mobility document, certificates and references from managers of hotels and from school. The evaluation and validation of their skills will be performed by hotel managers and Polish tutors in Malta/Cyprus, English teachers, vocational teachers and managers of Polish hotels. Final exams will also prove the acquired qualifications. Many people will be involved in preparing the project-coordinator, headmistress, accountant, teachers who will prepare the courses and tutors. Agreements will be signed with them.
