Bądź aktywny i ciesz się życiem
Start date: Jan 12, 2015, End date: Jun 12, 2015 PROJECT  FINISHED

The youth project entitled ‘Be active and enjoy your life’ has an activating and cognitive character. During the exchange the participants are going to analyse the significance of an active lifestyle in order to be healthy. The debate about the passive attitude towards any form of activity will stress the importance of exercise in solving the problems related to obesity and bad physical condition among the young generation. Music and vocal lessons, dance or handicraft workshops will let the students become aware of possible ways of spending their free time which currently is spent sitting in front of either TV or computer screen and pointless wandering with friends. There will be 20 students involved in the project, 10 from Poland and 10 from Sweden aged between 17 and 19. Additionally, we are planning to get into the project all willing and creative students who could bring a lot of positive energy. The project refers to the young people with limited possibilities, difficult financial situation living near the Russian border and on post State Farms area. The project will help them to understand how important it is to look after their health thanks to being active by playing team games – ringo, or discovering a new passion in life in dance, music or carving. What is more, Polish and Swedish student cooperation will be a great opportunity to integrate and bond. We will work together to get to know the achievements of civilization and their influence on life. The participation in the project will help to chance the youths' awareness, verify their everyday lifestyles and make them think about it, and what is more, it will change people's bad habits. The project will focus on developing the skill of making contacts and meeting multicultural people as well as discussing the issues about rejecting stereotypes about dissimilarities of cultures and customs. The significant point of the project will be improving the language skills (English) and perhaps learning basic words and phrases in partner's language. Undoubtedly, carrying out the project will have a great influence on the future international relations of people living in the small, bordering towns and villages with a high rate of unemployment and poverty. The project will make them open to the world and above all, it will be a great tool to promote a healthy lifestyle.
