Regional Development Agency Međimurje REDEA was founded by the Međimurje County and currently employs 14 people. REDEA is an organization that is active in the field of general adult education and a large segment of our work includes the organization and delivery of education and counseling for the public and private sector. Our key stakeholders are: local / regional government units, public institutions, farmers, entrepreneurs, youth, media, civil society organizations and young unemployed / job seekers with secondary education / university degree. During last year we conducted trainings for 450 participants. Also, last year we implemented E+ project “A step ahead” (Korak ispred). As a result of the project we have enriched our existing training activities with new teaching methods and specific techniques and tools (eg. Use of sports, music and art teaching, tools and techniques for conflict management, tools for defining the objectives of the project). Drawn by positive experiences and new competences acquired during the project “A step ahead” we have set new ambitious goals in the project “Back to school”. The overall objective of this project is to strengthen the competencies of REDEA’s employees with new skills and competencies in line with the strategic plan of the organization, organizational needs and requirements of the job.The specific objectives of the project are:- Strengthen the recognition of the organization as an organizer of high-quality and distinctive trainings (new curricula in the field of strategic planning and regional development, entrepreneurship (start-ups), employability);- Strengthen the capacity of the organization as a whole through the recognition of the quality of work at national and EU level (in the future to become a provider of KA1 structured courses; - Strengthen the competence in the field of rural development and advanced coaching skills (facillitation, group management, creative teaching of entrepreneurship).These goals will be achieved through job shadowing and structured courses. 4 REDEA’s staff members who have already proven high-quality trainers, but want to become competent in the preparation of new curricula (strategic planning and regional development, entrepreneurship, employability) will participate in jobshadowing activities. For these activities we chose partners with whom we have already successfully collaborated. 4 other staff members will participate in structured courses. They want the facilitators and want to gain competence and specialized knowledge in the field of rural development. In addition to the implementation of the mobility we will conduct project management activities, organization of mobility and evaluation and dissemination of project results. Implementation of the project will be taken over by the Strategic Planning Department in cooperation with the head of the Department of Human Resources Development, who is responsible for coordination of educational activities in REDEA. The implementation of the project “Back to school” will increase visibility and recognition of our organization as a provider of high-quality specialized trainings, will increase the capacities of staff in line with the needs of the organization and will strengthen professional and training skills of our employees. It will also influence future potential projects of strategic partnerships with organizations outside Croatia, improve organizational skills and the transfer of best practices and it will contribute to the achievement of all other goals set in the Strategic Plan of the Regional Development Agency Međimurje REDEA 2014-2016.
