The Youth Exchange “Back to Nature” will take place in Lecce from 1/09/2014 to 9/09/2014. It is a project aimed to develop among 30 young participants from 6 different countries (5 for each country) the importance of being in direct contact of nature to: - Develop healthy lifestyle for themselves thanks to open-air activities (hiking, canoeing, riding horses, trekking) in 4 Natural Parks (Le Cesine, Rauccio, Porto Cesareo, Porto Selvaggio) of Puglia, our region, and thanks to a big space dedicated to healthy nutrition (workshops, meeting with experts of Slow Food and Fair-Trade, laboratories in which they will prepare healthy food following the model of Mediterranean Diet that is heritage of Unesco for its healthy values); - Develop an eco-way of thinking and eco-habits, useful to create a better daily life and to start to think their own green-entrepreneurship future thanks to meeting with experts, role games, workshops, discussions, debates about topics as ecology, generation awake, recycling, environment, sustainable development and giving a big importance to topics as green economy and eco-citizenship and taking part in two volunteering actions: participating in the activities of the Sea Turtle Recovering Center of Rauccio (monitoring the coast and the nests of these animals and putting in freedom a Sea Turtle Caretta caretta saved by the center); participating in the activities of Legambiente of Porto Cesareo cleaning the beaches of the nature restricted area of Rabbit Island in Porto Cesareo. - Preserve the environmental resources as primary source of health of the Earth and to preserve our future. The final outputs of the project will be made by the participants themselves and they will be: - a magazine and a documentary of the activities of the project - a document that collects eco-proposals to the local administration to preserve and give values more and more to the natural parks visited; - a production of a Green-Tool booklet for young people about how to realize a daily healthy-green-eco life and to young associations to suggest them ideas to realize other projects like this with our help or to reply this in their own countries.
