Norlandiakindergardens of the region vest consists of 4 kindergardens, with 85 employees and 265 children. We have started 2 projects that we will work with until the end of 2017. One of the projects is called "Back to basic". This project is about how we will have a bigger focus on the situations between activities in the kindergardens. This is situations like: dressing on and off, toilet/changing diapers, eating, and sleeping/resting. The staff is often stressed in theese situaion, because they must hurry to the next planned activity, and they often dress the children or lifting them into the stroller instead of supporting the child to manage to do it themself. We have had a pre-project, and we have analyzed theese situations, and made a small book with suggestions for good solutions for theese situations. We want through the Erasmus+ programme job shadowing send 4 of the staff from each kindergarden to 4 different kindergardens in 4 different countries in Europe to study and experience how they are doing in these situations between activities. One from the staff in each kindegarden that is in the projectgroup for "Back to basic" will be selected. We want to oberve and make new experiences, and take ths back to the kindergarden and se what we can change for the better in our kindergardens. We are also working with a digital project, and we have made investments in new digital equipment. 2/3 of the staff has low education, and many of them has low digital competence. This facts makes it challenging to use digital tools in the pedagogic work with the children. We want to send 4 persons from each kindergarden to a project-based ICT course in Malta to learn how they are using digital tools. One of the staff that is going to the course form each kindergarden is a member of our digital project group. When they come back, they will be assigned to teach the rest of the staff to train them. The regionleader for Norlandiabarnehagene in region vest will be responsible for the pree-planning, organizing, and evaluating the projects. She will also spread the results of the projects to the other regions. Norlandiabarnehagene has 62 kindergardens in Norway. We will also use our external network with other kindergardens to spread our information, and our blog and Facebookpage. In long terms we believe that the results of these projects will be higher quality in our kindergardens by using new methods to work pedgogically with the children througth the use of digital tools and new ways to work between pedagogical planned activities.
