Background and Rationale of the Project The primary need of the healthcare sector in terms of emergency medical technicians is the training of the qualified professionals who has gained the professional competencies in accordance with the scientific and technological advances. To that end, providing internship to our students in Europe and thus turning them into qualified professionals needed by the sector is of great importance. Besides, the staff of our school, as well as those of our partner organizations, need to in situ observe the innovations and practices in the field of surgery and internal medicine nursing in Overall objective and aims of the project: By means of the proposed project, it is aimed: - to improve the professional competence and skills of the participants; - to provide better recognition for the skills and competencies they attain; - to disseminate the good practices concerning nursing education; - to broaden the vision of the domestic partners; - to develop the cooperation and communication between the public hospitals and vocational schools operating in the district of İvrindi; - to raise awareness on foreign language learning and intercultural interaction. The numbe and profiles of the participants: The project will comprise two mobility actions. The first mobility action will be participated by 10 students from the 11th and 12th grades of the İvrindi Anatolian Health Vocational School and 1 vocational teachers from the same school, who will serve as chaperons. The students will have a three-week internship in Europe on Emergency Healthcare Service. The second mobility action will take place for a period of one week in order to allow 15 participants comprising the educators from our school and staff members from partner organizations to carry out examinations on surgery and internal medicine nursing in Europe. Definition of the activities and the methodology: The project comprises four main activities, namely the preparation, implementation, evaluation and dissemination. As the methodology, information and communication technologies will be used in each stages of the project. During the preparatory stage, online foreign language training and online logistic and cultural support will be provided to the participants. During the evaluation and dissemination stages of the project, the social media and web applications will be used to the utmost degree. Results and Impact: The impact on the students attending the internship: They will develop their professional capacity by gaining a better learning performance; their employability will increase; their career will be improved; their personal development and self-confidence will improve; they will interact with different cultures; and their awareness towards the EU projects and the EU values will be raised. The impact on the target group participating in the staff mobility: Improvements will achieved in their advanced competencies related to their professional profiles; they will be able to better understand the vocational education and training practices and systems in the healthcare sector in Europe. By means of the opportunities provided by the program, awareness will be raised and the knowledge, skills and experiences gained by means of the activities supported by Erasmus+ will be put into use. Thus, a positive attitude will develop in the region towards the Erasmus+ projects and the participation of wider masses to Erasmus+ will be encouraged in the region.
