In today's changing and developing world education system has developed and renewed itself as well. One of these changes occured in the education is to cover "values training" within the curricula. Values training that is a subject of many scientific branches has an important role in the education process. “If you would like to change country’ quality of life there is no way other than having an influence on its nation’s values system (Robbins,1995)”. The countries are managed by people while people are managed by values. Therefore either managers or people having been managed are both shaped their lives based on their values. And all institutions are established upon these values system. The success of the values training depends on the teachers who are aware of the importance of the values, the existence of an effective schooll culture and on the school principals who are sensitive against to organisational values. Keeping in these mind we have proposed this Project with a view to observe the European dimension of the values training. The objective of the Project is to provide an oppurtunity for the participants to observe how values training has been offered in a European country. At present the Turkish national education system does not cover an official curricula or course. As a result of this any educational material designed to be used in values training do not exist as well. Therefore it is possible mention that there is a lack of kowledge and experience among teachers. The teachers have been using their own respective experiences, knowledge while talking about values at classes and they attach importance to that topic in a level which is equal to their level of awareness about these values. Since we believe that the teachers’ awareness on universal values should be raised first if we would like to enable our pupils to gain these we proposed this Project. The coordinator of the Project is Türkan Yamantürk İlkokulu and has two partners from Germany, Mittelhof e.V.and as hosting institution and Arda Beratung & Bildung to be responsible mainly for technical and logistical organistaion of the mobility. A group of 10 teachers including School Principal from Türkan Yamantürk İlkokulu will be participants of the mobility activity to be organized and hosted in Germany jointly by Mittelhof e.V.and Arda Beratung & Bildung. While determining the participants positive discrimination for women principle will be taken into account. The objectives of the mobility are: - to provide opportunity to the participants to gain experience on values training at German schools, - to examine curricula and educational materials, - to create a platform for Turkish and German colleagues to exchange their respective knowledge and experiences and to provide a brain storming environment, - to raise awareness of teachers and to develop a better understanding on the importance of values training. The duration of the mobility will be 10 days. After completion of the mobility, the coordinator will organise one internal and one external meeting in order to disseminate the achievements of the project. Following this a guide on Values Training will be prepared and put on the web-site of Türkan Yamantürk İlkokulu.
