Start date: Sep 1, 2016, End date: Aug 31, 2017 PROJECT  FINISHED

Today, ongoing scientific and technological developments affect all industries and this situation also is closely related to the vocational training. In particular, everyone have focused on globalization and the European Union, therefore to be able to meet the needs of the sector and vocational training has been very important. To achieve this objective, some requirements should be addressed such as; lack of infrastructure of vocational education system, deficiencies in staff efficiency and enhancing the quality of education. Continuous improvement of the global communication technology, increasing the number and types of mass communication tools have been increased the importance of promotion and advertisement. In this sense the graphic industry, one of the areas providing communication between people, has an important place. The graphic industry which includes some kind of fields such as; the world of advertising, visual media, computers, photography, film industry and typography, has been beyond expressive power of the graphic industry products and the power of expression based on the statement. Due to the rapid technological developments in computer-digital sector; the number of businesses serving in the graphics industry has been increasing every day, new products and materials are being produced, and new techniques are being developed. Therefore, the need for qualified technical personnel for graphic industry is increasing day by day. The task of a graphic designer working in the graphic industry is to make effective visual design with graphics software programs, and to print these designs as two-dimensional or three-dimensional on different surfaces such as foil, canvas, cloth, plastic, etc. The students of graphic and photography department at our school have basic information and capabilities for visual design, but due to the lack of digital printing machines at our school and many businesses they do their internships in small and inadequate infrastructure, they have been graduated without gaining professional qualifications in the application of digital printing techniques which is one of the most important step for the graphics industry. The Denizli city is one of the most important city with high production potential for textile industry in Turkey. One of the most important industry that serves the graph area is textiles and it may be best choice for our students but it can not be assessed due to a lack of professional knowledge and skills of our students about digital printing techniques. The aim our project is to develop professional knowledge and skills, to increase employment opportunities by enabling them to fulfill their professional specialization, and to provide qualified technical personnel for our country and graphic industry for 36 students who study at Graphics and Photos department of 11th and 12th grades by giving hands-on training in Digital Printing Techniques, Holland. Predicted results and impacts of our project; the development of foreign language skills, increasing their self-confidence and their motivation to learning skills and socialization, development of tolerance towards different cultures, the acquisition of a European consciousness of our students, the transfer of innovative practices in our school, increasing the institutional capacity and management capability of our school, and establishing partnerships is to achieve modernization and internationalization. In addition for long-term; to emphasize on lack about infrastructure of our school and the problems in our Vocational Training System, to strengthen the collaboration between businesses and our school, to contribute qualified employees for graphic industry, to make sustainable partnership with a European partners and to promote vocational training institutions for preparing European Union projects. The methodology when we use executing our projects will consider participation, transparency, collaboration and task-sharing, and project team will consist of voluntary teachers. The management team will make task sharing in their first and then between all project participants, and will record them with contract.
